I love Fergie. She'll forever be on my list of the sexiest women on earth. She had herself opined in an interview that her greatest asset is her really flat abs. Well, one tends to disagree. But with this number she's added her singing and songwriting abilities to her long list of assets.
And while we're dwelling on it, there's something I'd always wanted to know but was too afraid to ask. Namely, what the heck does black eyed peas mean?

Thank you for enlightening me. I still find it hard to believe that the great gawker, the funniest man on the net himself, had read my useless blog and commented. Pray tell , wise one, what have these beans got to do with music?

Come on man, there are no useless blogs and no useful blogs. Only blogs. I guess with respect to the black eyed peas, they are just representing their particular food group in the musical arena (legumes which are severely underrepresented) along with "The Cranberries", "Blind Melon", "Meatloaf", "Red Hot Chili Peppers", etc.

Righto! Actually the thought eating me was how could somebody relate their brand of spicy hip-hop with some daal-chawal pedestrian fare like a bean curry. About the other food groups, Meatloaf certainly looked the part, Red Hot Chili Peppers had that kind of a sound, etc.The only other band with a name that used to intrigue me was blind melon.
